Bursary Workshop

Beadwork the Monkeybiz Way
Saturday 21 to Sunday 22 August 2010, 10.30-4.30
St James Village Hall, Barton-under-Needwood, Staffs - Click here for map

IMPORTANT - There are still some places left on this workshop - in order to calculate numbers for refreshments, please let Carole Morris know as soon as possible (post, telephone or email) if you would like to book a place.

Our 2010 Bursary event will be an opportunity to share a couple of days with two ladies from the Cape Town beading cooperative, Monkeybiz.

Mathapelo Ngaka and her mother Makatiso Ngaka have kindly agreed to visit us during August 2010 and run a workshop for the Bead Society showing the type of beading that is worked in Cape Town.

To see more of the Monkeybiz range of beadwork log onto their website and you will enjoy looking at the wonderful animals and dolls that they produce. Mathapelo and Makatiso will be sharing some of their skills with us and although we don't know as yet what the workshop will entail, we know it will include making something in their amazingly eclectic style.

More details and materials list to follow.
