Beaded Earrings

Evelyn will run a workshop on designing and making beadworked earrings - the components of which can be used for many other ideas as well as earrings. Evelyn says:-

"Lets do some free range beading - not following patterns, but developing and creating your own ideas, and sharing and swapping these with others! Think shape, colour and design.

Bring along examples to inspire - bring some favourite beads...all shapes, sizes and colours and we can share ideas, skills and have fun!"

Evelyn was one of the founder members of the Bead Society in 1989, she was our first treasurer, and has been our stalwart Bead Fair table co-ordinator for many years!

Evelyn is famous for her large and impressive beadworked hangings which have been exhibited on various occasions in the UK. She takes a lot of her inspiration from African beadwork, and was the only British beadworker to have her work featured in Alice Scherer and Kate Moss' book The New Beadwork which was published back in 1992 when the three-year old Bead Society of Gt Britain was trying very hard to get people interested in beads and beadwork.
