Bead Fair 2010 in its new home at Uxbridge College was a great success. Standholders and members alike have said how amazed they were at the spaciousness of the new venue, the excellent lighting, huge car park and ease of access from the M25/A40 etc.
Glitches (beyond our control) over refreshments in 2010 will also have been transformed in 2011 into a cornucopia of food and drink available all day! And all the new building works will be finished! We may even have more space available than in 2010 so put the date in your diary now!
As a buying member, come and shop at our new venue which is extremely accessible! Suppliers will have beads you've never seen before as many of our members who are standholders don't go to the other usual Bead Fairs. There will also be antique and collectable beads and beadwork and vintage jewellery as well as the usual beading supplies, and we will have our usual exhibitions and glass beadmaking demonstrations.
Uxbridge College is a modern London Academy just half a mile from the M40 and close to the M4 and M25. Parking will be available.
Uxbridge has a thriving shopping centre (The Chimes) with its own car park not far from the college, and there are tube connections via the Picadilly and Metropolitan lines to Uxbridge Station. Click here for printable walking route from Uxbridge Underground Station to Uxbridge College.
The college has a huge car park (nearly 500 spaces) which will be just for our use. Although Uxbridge College's address is Park Road, if you are coming by car, the entrance to the car park (in a one-way system) is from Gatting Way (not from Park Road which is the exit).
